Tristan Foo

My story

My path into chiropractic started with a sports-related back injury. After feeling let down by the traditional medical system, I was encouraged to try chiropractic without knowing what it was. The results changed how I understood the body and what it’s capable of, and led to a career change I’ve never looked back on.

I graduated from Macquarie University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. Since then I’ve kept learning, exploring a wide range of techniques to better understand the body and help people move, feel and perform at their best.

I competed in sport at national and international level, and movement is still a big part of my life. I run ultramarathons, hike and boulder, and spend as much time as I can outdoors with my partner and our son. Two years travelling the world took me to an ultramarathon in Switzerland and onto the medical team at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

Healthcare for me isn’t just treatment. It’s a way to reconnect people with what their bodies are truly capable of.

What I treat

I work best with problems that haven’t gone away elsewhere. I blend traditional chiropractic with complementary techniques, and look for the root cause rather than chasing symptoms.

Body chart, back view, shading the area each condition affects
Chronic and complex pain
Pain that hasn’t responded to other forms of healthcare.
Neck and back
Neck, mid and lower back, especially chronic disc, muscle, joint and nerve pain.
Headaches and dizziness
Headaches, migraine, dizziness and vertigo.
Jaw and TMJ
TMJ dysfunction and jaw clenching, including intra-oral myofascial release.
Hip, knee and foot
Bursitis, plantar fasciitis, meniscus issues and other lower limb conditions.
Sporting injuries
Recovery from injury, and biomechanics for athletes of every level.

How I work

There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment. Each session I assess the person in front of me and work from a neuro-biomechanical framework to find what’s really driving the problem.

What we do depends on your goal, whether that’s getting out of pain, staying well, or performing better. I’ll also show you what to do between visits so you’re not relying on me to keep improving.

Start with your feet

If your feet aren’t properly engaging with the ground, the rest of your body compensates. I’ve worn minimalist, barefoot shoes for seven years and trained for ultramarathons injury-free in them.
